AI Bot by trickyp831

The purpose of my AI teddy bear will be to prevent human error in life.

April 26, 2009, 9:49 pm - [1]

The bot will be a teddy bear so it is fitting that we are given them at birth.

April 26, 2009, 9:49 pm - [2]

The bot will be similar to us virtually empty.

April 26, 2009, 9:50 pm - [3]

Initially it will be to us what any regular teddy bear is a comfortable pillow, but it will grow mentally along side of us.

April 26, 2009, 9:52 pm - [4]

As we learn to think it will learn to think along side of us.

April 26, 2009, 9:53 pm - [5]

Communication with this robot will occur on a telepathic level.

April 26, 2009, 10:26 pm - [6]

This communication would be no different than the communication that your left side of the brain has with the right side of the brain.

April 26, 2009, 10:32 pm - [7]

This third brain will be more advanced in memory retention, but it would be less influential then the other two parts of your brain.

April 26, 2009, 10:38 pm - [8]

This way one's concept of self would still be the brain.

April 26, 2009, 11:02 pm - [9]

The only difference would be one would be able to recall visual and mental experiences on command.

April 26, 2009, 11:04 pm - [10]

Because this robot would be receiving all of our sensory information, it would also warn us if we're about to do something clearly wrong.

April 26, 2009, 11:06 pm - [11]

Because this robot would be receiving all of our sensory information, it would also warn us if we're about to do something clearly wrong.

April 26, 2009, 11:07 pm - [11]

It is important to note that the teddy bear would not be able to make us move. We have to make that decision.

April 26, 2009, 11:08 pm - [12]

Another feature this teddy bear would have is it will learn completely everything we are taught.

April 26, 2009, 11:09 pm - [13]

For example if we learn blue and orange are opposites, then it would learn related material that we could access if needed.

April 26, 2009, 11:13 pm - [14]

This way we don't worry ourselves with useless information, but if did need the information we would have it.

April 26, 2009, 11:16 pm - [15]

If the AI bot would have an infinite amount of memory, then it would be better if the robot learned everything.

April 26, 2009, 11:17 pm - [16]

Then we would have a limitless database that we could access with our minds.

April 26, 2009, 11:17 pm - [17]

One of the problems with a limitless database is our limitations to sift through all the information.

April 26, 2009, 11:19 pm - [18]

This would be one of the main reasons why the robot would only learn related materials.

April 26, 2009, 11:20 pm - [19]

With this type of AI people could constantly learn new and interesting material simply by accessing this learned information section.

April 26, 2009, 11:21 pm - [20]

This machine would be intertwined with these people on such a profoundly deep level.

April 26, 2009, 11:22 pm - [21]

This means the AI would be programed to be loyal only to their host.

April 26, 2009, 11:23 pm - [22]

This way no one would have to worry about privacy.

April 26, 2009, 11:36 pm - [23]

Another interesting aspect about this AI is it would be able to interact with friends and loved ones you choose to allow to do so.

April 26, 2009, 11:38 pm - [24]

The person would also be able to determine to what degree interactions would take place.

April 26, 2009, 11:39 pm - [25]

This would eliminate some instances of miscommunication.

April 26, 2009, 11:43 pm - [26]

People would be able to interact with others sending images, thoughts, and emotions.

April 26, 2009, 11:44 pm - [27]

They would also have the capabilities to "talk" to anyone who is willing to talk.

April 26, 2009, 11:45 pm - [28]

Limitations of distance wouldn't be a problem.

April 26, 2009, 11:45 pm - [29]

The most unusual experience would be being without your teddy bear.

April 26, 2009, 11:56 pm - [30]

Another unusual experience would be fulling interacting with a friend's AI.

April 26, 2009, 11:56 pm - [31]

This view into someone's mind would be an experience like no other.

April 27, 2009, 12:06 am - [32]

It would be the most intament form of interaction.

April 27, 2009, 12:07 am - [33]

When someone dies their AI wouldn't have anything physically wrong with it.

April 27, 2009, 12:08 am - [34]

It would stop working because the host wouldn't be given permission to use it.

April 27, 2009, 12:10 am - [35]

Those that were already given permission would be able to access it, but this would be a bit weird.

April 27, 2009, 12:12 am - [36]

Since no one can give permission to access and AI that isn't theres the access to dead person's AI could last a life time after death.
